    How is Somatic Release Breathwork™ different from other breathing patterns and modalities?

    Somatic Release Breathwork is a synthesis of multiple modalities, not just Breath-Work. You will learn how to become adept at holding a safe container for people to have life changing experiences. The pillars of education are:

  • What are the main contraindications of breathwork?

    Are there contraindications to doing Breathwork? Yes - there are contraindications to doing almost anything, such as going to the gym, driving a car, and many other things more dangerous than breath-work. That being said, breathwork can result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with a history of:
  • Cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack
  • High blood pressure
  • Glaucoma
  • Retinal detachment
  • Osteoporosis
  • Significant recent physical injuries or surgery
  • Severe mental illness
  • Major medications
  • History of seizures
  • Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breath-work without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician.
